Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Tabernacle
The tabernacle is placed in a separate area from the main altar, allowing us to appreciate the various and rich understandings of the Eucharist for our spiritual growth. The retablo brings greater attention to the tabernacle. The chapel is decorated in a traditional Southwest style.
Tabernacle veil
Parishioners report that on Holy Thursday of April 7, 1955, an image of St. Pius X appeared on this tabernacle veil. The image remained on the veil from approximately 8:45 PM to 3:00 AM, after which it began to fade. This picture was taken on the day of the reported apparition.
The Annunciation
Mary says, "Yes" to God's plan for her life, making her a model of discipleship.
The Nativity
Celebrates the birth of the Messiah, the great mystery of the Incarnation: God among us, the Word becomes flesh. The angel and the star point to Jesus, who has authority over all creation, and in this way render all creation sacred. The shepherds remind us that the Good News was first announced to the poor.
The Wedding Feast at Cana
Cana was the site of Jesus' first public miracle. He used the festive setting to announce the coming reign of God. The reign of God was the central motif in Jesus' preaching and teaching, and it remains the central mission of the church. We celebrate the coming of the reign of God through our commitment to transforming our world from a place of darkness to one of grace and justice.
The Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish
Jesus, with arms outstrectched tells his disciples "you feed them" which is an essential part of the church's mission. God multiplies His love in our mission ministry.
Jesus Calms the Storm
The waters in scripture also represents the dark forces that brought fear. Jesus is Lord over all forces of darkness, and so we can live trusting in the vicotry of Christ over all the sotrms in our lives that bring us fear. We can live with trust, hope and the promise of God's new life beyond the storms.
The Transfiguration
At Mount Tabor Jesus is transformed before some of his disciples. Jesus gives us a glimpse of future promise that we need to have when trials blind us. In our Journey of Communion and Mission, we are transformed as we head to the fulfillment of God's promises and ultimately to promised glory.
